A year round destination

When to visit Namibia

Namibia is a year-round travel destination, but the prime time to visit is from May to October. During this period, the northern regions have not yet experienced the rainy season, and it's an excellent opportunity to witness animals congregating around waterholes. It's the perfect time to witness the mesmerizing spectacle of wildlife in their natural habitat.

From December to March, Namibia can experience humid days with occasional thunderstorms and rainfall. April and May, particularly, are exceptional months to visit the country, as the onset of the drought brings a crispness to the air and a lush greenness to the landscape. The skies are crystal clear, and the air is relatively free of dust, making it a perfect time to enjoy Namibia's natural beauty.

Namibia experiences cooler and drier weather from June to August, and in some desert regions, the nights can be quite chilly. The warm season returns in September and October, making it the ideal time for safaris in most areas.
