Day by day program
Day 1: Arrive Cape Town
Arrival into Cape Town Airport, you will be met and transferred to Cape Grace hotel, where you will spend 4 nights. Situated on a private quay between Cape Town’s bustling V&A Waterfront and the tranquil yacht marina, there is no better position from where to soak in the natural beauty of our Mother City and the very essence of Cape Town living at its best.
Day 2 - 4: Cape Town
Days at leisure to enjoy the beautiful Cape Town. From contemporary art galleries to family-friendly beaches, gastronomic journeys to adrenalin-packed adventures, Cape Town is brimming with fun-filled ways to spend your days in South Africa’s ‘Mother City’. But if you’d rather stay in and relax at the hotel, you’ll find an array of wellness, culture and culinary delights.
Day 5: Cape Town - Livingstone
After breakfast this morning, you will board your transfer to Cape Town International Airport, where you will board your flight that will take you to Livingstone. On arrival at Livingstone Airport, you will be met and assisted to your road transfer to Tongabezi Lodge. Tongabezi is ideally located on a sweeping bend, upstream from the Victoria Falls in Zambia.
Day 6 - 7: Livingstone
Following days you will enjoy the activities provided by the lodge. You also have the option of booking the optional activities. Victoria Falls is a spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River. Dubbed ‘The Smoke that Thunders’ by locals, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is a popular destination for those visiting Zambia. It is world-renowned for its sheer beauty and offers the opportunity to immerse in spectacular landscapes inhabited by abundant wildlife. You can look forward to a wide range of adventure sports such as kayaking, white water rafting, ziplining, bungee jumping and bridge swinging; and if you are looking for more relaxation can enjoy a sunset boat cruise, game viewing, or browsing through the vibrant local Livingstone Market.
Day 8: Livingstone - Kafue National Park
After breakfast this morning, say goodbye to Thongabezi lodge and board your transfer to Livingstone Airport. Here you will check in for your flight to Lusaka Airport, where you will be met an assisted to your flight to Kafue National Park. The team from Ila Safari Lodge will welcome you at the airstrip. You will be transferred to the Lodge. After a delicious meal and a cup of coffee, settle into your room before departing on your afternoon game drive. Set in the heart of western Zambia, Kafue National Park is the country's biggest and oldest National Park. Enjoy the beautiful nature in search of wildlife. Dinner will be served at the lodge.
Day 9: Kafue National Park
Today you will explore the wilderness in Kafue National Park. Enjoy the activities as set out by the lodge’s daily programme – Wake-up call >> Morning Safari >> Return for breakfast and time at leisure or opt for Bush walk. At midday enjoy a scrumptious lunch followed by a late Afternoon Safari returning in time for Dinner.
Day 10: Central Kafue - Busanga Plains
After breakfast you will enjoy a morning game drive through Kafue National Park. Stop at leisure for a picnic lunch on in the bush. During after noon you will arrive to your camp. Chisa is the Nyanja word for ‘birds’ nest’, and the rooms were inspired by the weaver bird nests that decorate the trees here. Enjoy a leisure drive in the wild in search of wildlife, return to your camp for dinner.
Day 11 - 12: Busanga Plains
During these days you will explore the wilderness in Busanga Plains. Enjoy the activities as set out by the lodge’s daily programme – Wake-up call >> Morning Safari >> Return for breakfast and time at leisure or opt for Bush walk or canoeing. At midday enjoy a scrumptious lunch followed by a late Afternoon Safari returning in time for Dinner.
Day 13: Departure
After the morning activity and breakfast, you will be flown back to Lusaka Airport. In Lusaka you will board your flight home.
