Day by day program
Day 1: Arrive Nairobi
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where upon arrival, you will be welcomed and chauffeured to your hotel in Nairobi.
Day 2: Narobi -Amboseli
Breakfast at Hemingways Nairobi. Check-out and transfer to Wilson Airport Nairobi, gateway to the flying safaris in Kenya. Time to board the Executive Grand Caravan. Your Skysafari will now take to the Air flying to Amboseli National Park. After a scenic 45 minutes flight, you will land in the middle of the park, where the team from Tortilis Camp will warmly welcome you. Enjoy your first game drive en-route to the camp, where you will arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive.
Day 3: Safari Amboseli
Rise early to watch the African plains game wake up on a game drive and stop for a bush breakfast. Hot lunch will be served at the lodge. If you feel like stretching your legs and seeing the wilderness from a different perspective this afternoon there is a walking safari. Alternatively, you can have another game drive, with both activities culminating in cocktails watching the sunset, before returning to camp for dinner.
Day 4: Amboseli - Loisaba Conservancy
Rise early for a game drive, back in time to the lodge for breakfast. Check out and transfer back to the Amboseli airstrip. The plane will now take you to Loisaba Conservancy located in the region of Mount Kenya. The Loisaba Tented Camp team will welcome you and you will be transferred to the Lodge, where lunch will be served. You will be offered a massage for pure relaxation, or alternatively go on a game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 5-6: Loisaba Conservancy
Your best chance of spotting game is early in the morning or late afternoon, so rise early and head off into the wilderness. After a morning filled with excitement return to the lodge to relax and to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Perched on the edge of an escarpment, the camp is designed to capitalize on unhindered views across Laikipia´s mottled landscape all the way to Mt Kenya. Explore more of Loisaba Conservancy on a game drive with sundowner drinks served overlooking the park, before returning to the lodge in time for dinner.
Day 7: Laikipia - Masai Mara
Upon waking, enjoy a lovely breakfast and ease into a morning game drive. Enjoy the rest of the morning at leisure before being served lunch while enjoying a breathtaking view over an expansive panorama. Your pilot will be waiting to take you on a 90-minute flight to the world famous Masai Mara where you land in the middle of the reserve. The Sand River Masai Mara Team will welcome you at the Keekorok airstrip. You will be transferred to the camp with a game drive en- route.
Day 8-9: Masai Mara
Early breakfast, followed by a full day of game viewing in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Game viewing in the area is excellent, there’s quite a large concentration of big cats in this part of the Masai Mara and the terrain you’ll encounter during the drive is simply beautiful. During the game drive you’ll head towards the grassy plains and riverine forests of the Masai Mara in search of elephants, lions, zebra, leopards, cheetahs, hyena, giraffe, hippos, wildebeest, impalas, mongoose, jackals, warthogs and baboons. A picnic hamper lunch will be served out in the wilds. Stop at an authentic Masai Village to interact and learn about the customs and culture of this colorful tribe. Back to the Camp for a Farewell dinner.
Day 9: Masai Mara - Nairobi - Departure
Bush breakfast followed by game drive, back to Camp for lunch. Mid-afternoon, you will be transferred back to the Keekorok airstrip for your flight to Wilson Airport Nairobi. Your representative will welcome you upon arrival. You will be chauffeured to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport; before arriving there, you will stop at one of Nairobi’s restaurants where dinner will be served. You will arrive at the airport in time for your international flight.
