About Loisaba Conservancy

Location
Laikipia is a vast and stunning area in Kenya’s northern rangelands, covering 9,500 km². It lies north of the Aberdares Mountain Range, stretching from the slopes of Mt. Kenya in the southeast to the edge of the Great Rift Valley in the west.

Wildlife Haven
Laikipia boasts a diverse range of habitats, from dry savannahs to spectacular canyons. It’s also one of Kenya’s most exciting wilderness areas, with an abundance of wildlife, including the Big 5 and endangered species like Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe. The region supports the second highest density of wildlife in Kenya and is one of the few places where wildlife numbers are increasing. The success is due to community-owned ranches, private farms, and wildlife conservancies that work together for conservation.
